Many people choose their wine based on its price. One of the issues with trying to find a “good value” bottle of wine is that if you choose a very low-priced bottle, the amount of duty and tax included in the price may be higher than the wine portion of the price. It’s certainly true that you get what you pay for – by choosing a bottle of wine that’s even just a little more expensive than the average price, you could be “getting more wine for your money”.
